A Brit Fight

While I was on my way to school, I noticed stacks of newspapers by the bus stop and seeing how I had nothing better to do while waiting for class to start, I needed something to do so I played Sudoku. While browsing thru the titles, a picture grabbed my attention. It was a picture of Prince Harry so I immdiately read the small entry. Film makers are having auditions to play the part of a documentary-type sort of movie about the royal family, and there have been rumours that Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) and Robert Pattinson (Twilight) have been called to audition. This really struck my curiosity and I wondered; who would play the better Prince? Rupert Grint is one my favorite actors and not to mention adorable, but perhaps people would only see him as that awkward Ron Weasley kid from the Harry Potter movies. However, if you have had a chance to see him perform in other movies, you would agree that he is flexible and can play different types of roles. From the movie Driving Lessons where he plays Ben Marshall, a shy teenage boy trying to escape his motherly influences by driving with this older-lady actress to the more "drama-ish" role in the hot movie Cherry Bomb. He plays Malachy, who's world gets turned upside down when the new girl moves in next door; things start to get crazy and it involves a lot of drinking and drugs.

So, would he be the ideal character to play this princely role? Or would the eternal vampire be a better choice? I definitely believe that if Pattinson gets the role, the movie will fly off the charts!! Every girl would want to watch it! And this is where another story gets thrown in. I've read in magazines and done my research, and it seems to me that girls are in love with Edward Cullen. The character. Yes Pattinson is gorgeous, but he doesn't seem to resemble Edward at all. Well, I can't necessarily say this because I don't know the guy, but from the news and tabloids (although most of them are all bogus) he seems to be quite the character. Bottom line is, he is Robert Pattinson, not Edward Cullen. So, would he play Prince Harry? He sure has the looks and more proper manners, but it's nothing Grint can't do. I mean their actors, they can basically do anything they want to if they work hard at it.

Personally, in the end, I think that Prince Harry himself should decide who plays his role. I mean, it is a movie that includes himself and I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be played by a fool that doesn't represent him at all. No, he would want someone who can display and show all the qualities he posseses in a realistic way. Whatever happens, I'm excited to find out who will play the role! And when I find out, well you guessed it, I will IMMEDIATELY write another blog. (Maybe not immediately because I have other stuff to do, but when I get the time! ("Of course! Of course!" ♫)
